Creamy Yemeni-Style Chai
Derived from Our Yemeni Kitchen, What Makes Adani Tea So Special?.
Ingredients:
- 6 cups water
- ¼ cup sugar (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons black tea (about 20 grams)
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 can evaporated milk (350 ml)
Instructions:
- In a pot or kettle, add 6 cups of water.
- Bring it to a boil over medium heat.
- Add sugar and stir to dissolve.
- Lower the heat and add black tea, cardamom, and cloves.
- Let it simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the evaporated milk and continue simmering on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Skim off any froth from the top.
- Strain the tea into a serving teapot or cup.
